Can you join the military without a green card?

- Be between the ages of 17 and 39 to enlist or be between 19 and 42 to become an Officer*

Getting into the Navy is not an easy task. Aside from medical and physical standards, there are height and weight standards, criminal standards, as well as academic standards. The Navy requires a minimum ASVAB score of 35 to enlist in the regular Navy.
Recruit training, or “boot camp,” will be approximately seven weeks long. The goal of this training is to transform you from a civilian into a Sailor with all of the skills necessary to perform in the fleet.
