No on-campus information sessions or tours are currently being offered due to the pandemic. However, visitors are welcome to explore campus with our self-guided walking tour. As soon as public health permits, we will offer information sessions and campus tours for prospective students at the MIT Welcome Center.
Is MIT open to visitors?
Visitors are welcome to campus and must follow all MIT Covid policies while on campus. Visitors are guests coming to MIT to attend a meeting, repair equipment, tour campus or a lab, pay a social visit, drop off a catering order, etc.
Can I visit MIT?
Whether you’re a prospective student or just visiting the Boston area, we invite you to explore our dynamic campus and experience firsthand how MIT is making a better world. Currently, visitors are welcome in outdoor spaces on campus and may enter non-residential campus buildings while escorted.
Are MIT buildings open?
MIT community members may work on the physical campus only if they are designated and authorized for on-campus work. At this time, MIT buildings are not open to the general public.
